Baby Olympics is a baby shower game that makes participants feel like athletes and the audience cheers like they are watching a real Olympic game. To begin any baby shower, first you have to gather the materials need. You will need two baby dolls, two baby strollers, eight hula-hoops, ten cones or any object you can run around with, small diaper bag, and colored tape.

A large place will be used for this kind of game. First you have to set up the course of race by placing two sections, approximately 3 feet, of the colored tape. These will serve as starting points. Then, place 4 cones about 2-4 feet away from each other forming a line so that strollers can entwine all the way through them. Position the fifth cone one more 5-10 feet away as your room allows. Lastly, set 4 hula-hoops into two groups.

Instructions are very crucial when it comes to any type of game. They serve as regulations to determine the proper ways to play the game. They also keep the game fair and square for everyone avoiding the possibilities of cheating. Here are the instructions to play the baby shower game called Baby Olympics.

  • First, make two teams out of all your party guests. As possible as you can, let all guests participate in your baby shower game. Dividing the guests into two teams can be easier if you will let them pick out any of the two colored small papers or ribbons out of the box or basket. For example, cut out pink and blue colored papers or ribbons.
  • Second, let each members of the team fall in line behind the starting point. You must make sure that no one goes beyond the line to prevent future cheating issues. The group that will not follow instructions will be disqualified. You can ask the guest of honor to start the race by either saying “ready, get set, go” or blowing a whistle.
  • This when the real fun begins. After the go signal is given, the first player on the line has to push his or her stroller. Then he or she must entwine through the cones and turn around the fifth cone. As soon as she finds the diaper, he has to stop and put the diaper on the baby dol. Then he should drive the stroller back towards the starting line and jump through the hula-hoops as the same time. Consequently, he or she must tag his or her team member second in line and the team member have to repeat the same course.

The first team to come to the end of the course will be the winner. You can purchase gold medals or trophies at available stores to serve as your champion’s prize. You can include this proud tradition of Olympics at your baby shower to create uproar of competition from your guests. They will be talking about how great your baby shower game is for the years to come.
